Omri S. Quire on his mix:

Its inspiration lay in those scenes that are ubiquitous to those classic film noir flicks you avoided as a kid because they were in black and white (and there wasn’t enough action): the fog that covers the ground at the start of the first scene and the flickering of the city lights, the confusion on a suddenly desolate city block and the zombie-esque behavior of revelers in a bar, the care-free wild outings and the pain-and-joy-filled picturesque love affair.

The songs are a time machine that take you from dusk to dawn: from the moment the sky turns blood red until blue hues seep through the horizon just before the sun comes up and straight to dawn, when the world awakens, but to you all the night’s events seem as real as dream you had had once. Like Halloween and wearing costumes and pretending, this cureation is a celebration of the many moods — darkness and fun, misery and joy, loneliness and companionship — that are found when most of the world is asleep and the few come to life…
