DAILY STREAM: Simina Grigoriu, Bongo, and Candyland! July 24, 2013 Edition!

Every day we receive a gazillion and one audio tunes and we can’t possibly feature them all … but it wouldn’t be fair to deprive your ears of their magic!

Techno. Yeah, we said it! Experience Simina Grigoriu, a Romanian-born techno superstar currently residing in Berlin. This week’s delicious mix is called “PINK PUDDING.” Although her mixes satisfy a craving for tech house (and alliteration), they might incur cravings via your sweet tooth. Check out Simina’s others here.

Australian label Say Wat Records have presented us with our Belgian bud Bongo’s newest EP, “Ocean.” It’s reminiscent of 90’s piano house, according to Say Wat, and “will have you dancing around your lounge room drinking scotch on the rocks while pretending to play the piano on your ironing board.” This is totally fine with us, but we can’t wait to hear the original “Ocean” track and/or it’s 3 official remixes through some legit nightclub surround sound. Did we mention its lovely cover art?

Have you played Candyland yet? THIS kind of Candyland. Priding themselves on bridging the gaps between different genres of dance music, this co-ed duo has totally blown up since the release of their debut album “Bring the Rain” on Spinnin’ Records this past January. The remixes are finally here, and fortunately, they’re free.
