When was the last time we shared a Canadian hip hop track? Let’s close this gap with the new track “Orange Sky” by ill.Gates feat. vocals by Youngsta. ill.Gates captured the track’s vibe quite well on his Soundcloud, tagging a few terms relating to the song, like sunset, goodtimes, love, friends, winning, goodtimes, and babymaking. Gates is currently touring in the Western US, and is playing at British Columbia’s Shambhala Music Festival in August.

Here’s some irony to spice up your Thursday: Pleasurekraft, Jaceo, and Vedic’s new EP “313 (Detroit Calling)” contains 2 songs, called “313” and “212.” “313” is titled that way to represent Detroit’s dialing code. “212,” however, isn’t titled that way because of New York’s dialing code as you might imagine, but rather represents the boiling point of water in degrees Fahrenheit. Either way, the EP won’t make you boil over – sit back and enjoy.
