STYLE: Desigual says Hello :) at Home Studios on May 2, 2012

Barcelona-based fashion brand Desigual introduced itself to US editors and stylists Wednesday with a presentation at Home Studios in the Flatiron District. Daytime appointments were followed by cocktails with some familiar NYC faces — who posed for watercolor portraits, ate Spanish jamon and drank (lots) of Cava. The brand showed its fall-winter 2012 collection, including capsule collections by couture designer Christian Lacroix (the “L” line) and Cirque Du Soleil, as well its new Shoes collection, arriving in stores this week. Desigual now has 3 flagship stores in NYC, 13 in the US, and more than 300 globally.

Desigual translates to “It’s Not The Same”. See what they mean by checking out this 2010 web video to promote a free clothes giveaway.
