Bar 89 hosted a pop up gallery opening reception with the restaurant transforming into Gallery 89 for one night only. The event is to celebrate the opening of the ceiling instillation and painting by artist Hideki Takahashi.
The artist uses denim as a canvas to create graffiti like images of cows inspired by a trip to a farm in upstate New York. The 5 ft by 180 ft. piece hangs from the ceiling and will be up for the remainder of the month.
