Back in the 90’s when I was too young to go to clubs, I would tune into the local hip-hop station’s Friday night House music show.

House and Acid House began in Chicago, Detroit had Techno, and NYC was putting two and two together. One record label leading the pack was NYC’s Strictly Rhythm. They launched artists who are today considered principals in the dance community — Armand Van Helden, Josh Wink, Masters At Work, Roger Sanchez, and more.

One song I used to hear on the radio show was Aly-Us‘s "Follow Me." It defines House music. The lyrics are layered over an amazing Garage House track. When the dance floor is full and the vibe is right, this song can take the entire place to the next level.
