| Our buddies in The Pragmatic are poised to released their new EP on Optimus records this Friday. If you haven’t been lucky enough to see them live yet, they are the only band I know of that has at least three times more keyboards than band members.

I’m from: Schwenksville, PA. Fun to say, isn’t it?
But I live in: Greenville, IL
And work as: a pianist/accompanist for choirs, vocalists, instrumentalists, etc.
My worst job was: Working in a kitchen with a crabby chef!
My first job was: at American Eagle the summer after I graduated high school. They play surprisingly good music there — they got me into Eisley and The Shins before either band was very popular.
Right before we perform I: Drink a lot of coffee to get hyped up!
I know it’s going to be a good show when: My vintage synthesizer (emphasize vintage) decides not to work correctly and I have to improvise! It always makes for a fun show.
While we perform: I like to see how people react to or vocalist, Karl’s dancing — how could you not at least smile while watching this guy dance?
Right after we perform: I usually head to our merchandise table and talk to people — I also have a tendency to scavenge for food.
My favorite shape is: Circles, need I say more?
My least favorite color is: Yellow! It often symbolizes lemon flavor — no thank you!
The weirdest thing that’s ever happened during a show: We played at Greenville College’s Midnight Breakfast this past fall, and the electric shorted out in the middle of a song. I thought for sure that we would stop and try to figure out what was wrong, but everyone in the crowd kept singing along for the next minute or two — then the electricity came back on and we kept on playing as if nothing happened!

If I had a million dollars I would: Pay off student loans, buy my parents the house they’ve always wanted, fix up my poor Korg Polysix, save the rest!
If I was to be stuck on an island indefinitely I would need: An instrument! I would get so good at it because there would be nothing else to do.
If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be: Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Favorite gadget: The bagel slicer. Brillant! I am also quite fond of my iPhone.
I am influenced by: Girls that can hold their own on a stage with just guys — particularly Adrienne (Liesching) Camp from The Benjamin Gate and Lacey Mosley from Flyleaf.
You should know that: Our new EP, Circles comes out on April 24th and that Nicky has the best mustache in New York City!
