I’m constantly banging out DJ mixes of what I play when I’m out on the road with The Glass or as DJ Wool …Usually these mixes are perfectly blended, up to the minute, blogtastic affairs and I do like them but … for a specialist like Nicky Digi I thought I’d do something a little bit more radical …

What you’re getting here is mostly taken from Vinyl I’ve had for the past 5 -15 years with a couple of exceptions … It’s basically what I’ve been listening to in my apartment in Berlin … I’ve been really mellow about the mixing … you don’t want to over egg the pudding you know? But I’m still up on those 1’s and 2’s keeping it interesting … and I’m not exactly known for my train wrecks so don’t worry …

As usual with my mixes, I’ve sprinkled some spoken word and some scratches and general audio mayhem….

DJ Spooky once referred to his mixtapes as “Electormagnetic Canvasses” and I always try to keep that in mind when I’m putting together a mix … enjoy background noise and feedback!!!!!!!!

Once upon a time Dominique (lead singer The Glass, Plant Music) worked as an Intern at Tuff City Records … and I went in there and straight up took this 12″ Classic shit!!! 14 odd years ago … I still got the 12″ though!!!

This 12″ came towards the end of the MoWax era in the late 90’s … It doesn’t matter how much eye liner you wear now … some shit never goes out of (divine) style!!!

I bought this in a now defunkt record store on Avenue B in New York City … Man the East Village was so cool before the ‘keep the noise down’ yuppie invasion … mmmmhhh WHitney!!!

7. Neurotic Drum Band – We’re Gonna Rock New York (The Glass Remix)
The Glass summon the spirit of Rap Rock with this instant classic.

8. Tittsworth – Broke Ass Nigga feat DJ Assault (The Glass Remix)
I mixed Jesse Tittsworth‘s debut Lp ‘12 Steps‘ earlier this year … I love that guy!! Here’s a remix The Glass put together of the 1st single … Assault knows broke!!!
