DJ, promoter and man about town S. Valentine has made his mark plenty of parties — M on Monday nights at the Dark Room, the infamous We Bite party on Tuesdays at Happy Ending, Whip It on Wednesdays at Stereo, and the mighty popular new bash called Ruff Club on Fridays at Annex.
This week, in honor of the tremendous tents up at Bryant Park, he’s throwing The Fashion Week Event. Kicking off Thursday night at 10PM at Hiro (Maritime Hotel, 366 West 16th Street), the party’s sure to attract a well-dressed crowd looking to cut loose after a week of non-stop fashion action.

NickyDigital: Tell us about this big party you’re hosting for fashion week.
S.Valentine: Everyone that is awesome is going to be there. The party is for me and I hope everyone gets beyond drunk and i sleep with some hot blond. There will be open bar with Jagermeister, Tequila and Newcastle beer. Nick Zinner from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs 
, Sean Fight Cats…and I’m Mike Nouveau sure will jump on board. All of the Ruff Club kids will be there and the Cheeky Bastard kids will be hosting as well.
ND: Are you involved in fashion week in any other way?
SV: Aside from going to every party? Yes. Assisting on the production of events and shows.
ND: Who’s your favorite designer? What’s been the best show so far?
SV: Too many to name..but people should keep an eye out for Lincoln Mayne and H. Fredriksson.
ND: What about non-fashion week events? What’s the best party in New York?
SV: Ruff Club
ND: Ok — what’s the best night that’s not yours?
SV: They’re all mine when I get there.
ND: Can you tell me how you started designing clothes?
SV: I was bored of seeing the same stuff everywere, so I made my own version of the same stuff — or i was baked on my couch and had nothing to do.
ND: What designers inspired you?
SV: Starter, Fila, BK Knights…
ND: Who do you see as your peers? Do you align yourself with Barking Irons or Rogues Gallery?
SV: Nah, those guys a cool. I leave the cool stuff to the cool kids.
ND: So, theyre selling yourr stuff at Odin — anywhere else?
SV: Odin, Caravan and First Among Equals in NYC, Pigeon in Kansas City, Kin in LA.
ND: Where do you want to take the clothing line?
SV: I love fashion and I understand that the world is overrun with wannabe designers and art freaks, but my designs are my designs. Whetherthe masses love or hate them does not concern me, what concerns me is that I’m doing art I like and the people closest to me appreciate and like what I do. You’re my concern, not some fuckback that shops at Urban Outifters
ND: What’s your favorite NYC band?
SV: I have music ADD but i was obssesed with the Movielife when they were around. Lately I’ve been into The Films and Foreign Islands.
ND: Best NYC bathroom for a random hookup?
SV: Annex upstairs…BY FAR. It’s big enough and there are tons of bathrooms downstairs so people just go there.
ND: Favorite drink?
SV: Jagermeister
ND: Worst party in town?
SV: Let me think — umm — who can I piss off? White Dove.
