This set represents a bunch of different threads of dance music that have kept me up until dawn since I was a teenager. The older seventies stuff is embodied by the Pepe Braddock remix of Roy Ayers opening the mix and the Deep88 “cover” of “Summer Madness” by Kool and the Gang closing the mix.

The euphoric mid-90s rave vibe is represented by “Burn The Elastic” by Violet, and the rest run from really melodic and pretty techno (Pantha Du Prince and Schwarz Ame Dixon) to new school club corkers (the Boy 8-Bit remix of MANDY vs. Booka Shade), to projects I have a connection to (Populette are on Throne of Blood and their debut single is out this week! … and the AKA JK track is our next release due out in April), and the rest are jams new (Cobblestone Jazz, Birds & Souls) and old (DJ Joshua) that I love.
