Miss Kittin just dropped her latest single “Bassline” … And the bass certainly wasn’t spared.Caroline Hervé aka Miss Kittin has been honing her insane electronic skillz in Paris since the late 90’s, and the proof is in the music. Maybe a bit mid-tempo for all you bassheads out there, newly released “Bassline” and “Come Into My House” are expertly engineered seduction techniques.
The technologic sounds of “Bassline” differ from the heavier, more layered “Come Into My House,” but they both feature a common instrument: Miss Kittin‘s soulful voice. These tracks make for one of the most eclectic 2-song releases we’ve heard, probably ever, especially in the Nu-disco scene.
So play it at your casual dark and dirty basement party, or play it at your classy lounge. Either way, it will be hard to keep from grooving from these sounds.
The Bassline EP is coming out this Friday, featuring a handful of tracks including a Bassline remix by Djedjotronic. Miss Kittin’s 3rd album, “Calling From The Stars” will be released April 22, so you have something to look forward to.
