While Ratatat‘s past music videos do not fall into the “conventional” category by any means, there’s something about their newly-released vid for “Drugs” that has an extra-special “oh-dear-god-what-is-this-please-send-help” factor.

Maybe it’s the fact that it looks like a demented mash-up of commercials for prescription medications and Match.com (which are pretty terrifying on their own).

Maybe it’s the fact that 99% of the people in the video look like they’re trying to sell you a home in the suburbs or a power scooter (again, pretty terrifying on their own).

Whatever the case may be, this clip for “Drugs” lives up to its name; either we’re on them, or we need them. Now.
