Is mid-July too late in the season for a fresh summer anthem to emerge? Well, the guys of Australian electro-pop group Cut Copy have something to say about that with their new track, “Where I’m Going.”
Swirling synths, lush harmonies, and an omnipresent tambourine prove to be the perfect recipe for the quintessential chillout jam, while the chorus of “ooh”s, “whoa”s, and “yeah!”s are bound to incite some group sing-a-longs (do-able no matter how much summer ale you’ve been pounding).
