We first met Nomi Ruiz this past summer while on the 2008 Hercules & Love Affair Tour where she teamed up with bassist Andrew Raposo and keyboardist Morgan Wiley.
Together they formed soulful dance/freestyle outfit, Deep Red and are currently preparing to release a 12″ of their first single Fun Girl (MP3 download link below) this Spring which will include remixes by DFA‘s The Juan Maclean & Keinemusik.
Nomi shares with us shots of Jameson, clothing malfunctions, her favorite flavor of ice cream and more!

The weirdest thing that’s ever happened during a show: Over the summer I was performing with Hercules & Love Affair at a festival. I wore a tear away dress and tore too much of it away as we were being projected onto two HUGE LCD screens on each side of the stage!! It was really a crazy scene.
