On the last tour I only took a duffle bag for all my clothes. It was a carry on. I’ve upgraded to a real suitcase AND a backpack (Jansport, represent!), and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m taking an extra pair of shoes this time, just in case, and enough socks and underwear to last me about a month… and books. i don’t own an iPod, and I never have (I am, however, SO excited for the iPhone). Sometimes reading is the only way to make it through a bunch of traveling.
