When it comes down to it, people seem to have one of two possible reactions to skateboarding videos: “Meh, it’s overdone…” or, to quote Jon Horvath of Fort Knox Five on Wool & Vortex‘s new video for “Magic Carpet,” “THIS IS DOPE!!” We’re going to go with Jon on this one…

Unlike your run-of-the-mill sk8r viddy (that’s how the cool kids spell it, right?) shot by a 14-year-old with the new camera his parents got him for Christmas and set to the tunes of some late-90’s ska band, this “Magic Carpet” clip is more about highlighting the icy coolness of the track with equally badass visuals than it is about showcasing how many times Jimmy can jump off the front porch before snapping his forearm in half.
