Together Festival Day 5 at The Middle East & Middlesex Lounge on May 14, 2015

Together X Crew Love present the Together Festival main stage at The Middle East featuring Soul Clap, Tanner Ross, DJ Kon and special guest Life on Planets!

SOUL CLAP — Boston’s Soul Clap are no strangers to Together Boston–in fact, they were a very part of its creation–but the duo’s funk-indebted sound is always a welcome addition to the Boston nightclub scene. Internationally known and locally revered Soul Clap has found the time to perform all around the world and share the spotlight with their local brethren. Their Soul Clap imprint has seen them increase their own tally of tunes while also promoting the work of their friends and fellow Boston producers.

LIFE ON PLANETS — The new soft-spoken, hard-rocking group from Baltimore debuted their full length live show at the Wolf + Lamb Marcy Hotel this March. Following in the footsteps of greats like Nicolas Jaar and PillowTalk, they were the first invited guest in over 2 years to perform at the legendary Brooklyn proving grounds. Life on Planets is a duo that met in the studio lofts of their east coast hometown, whereby a collaboration fusing indie artrock and electronic music began to take shape.

DJ KON — Kon has been digging in crates since 1976, DJing since 1985, and spinning in clubs since 1991. He is one half of Kon and Amir, who released the acclaimed “On Track” and “Off Track” series on BBE Records where they introduced rare grooves to a new audience. His remixes of dance classics prompted Gilles Peterson to name him “Edit/rework King of 2011”, and feature him prominently on his BBC Radio shows.

TANNER ROSS — Tanner Ross was bred in New Jersey but, after smashing certain curriculum at the Berklee College of Music, became one of the most in-demand producers and engineers in modern music. Ross soon found a home with the Soul Clap clan and despite travelling the world and working with some of music’s biggest names, still calls Boston home. His sets always include languid and luxurious beats. As a student of sound, there’s hardly anyone in the world you’d rather trust your ears to.
