Most of my pre party time is spent pulling records and songs for a set, if I’m not playing somewhere I usually listen to Keith Sweat or Tevin Campbell. As far as my sets / mixes, I always like to consider the flow of energy. I really look up to other DJs that move seamlessly through the ups and downs, not a static level of energy because life doesn’t work that way. I started out with 20 tracks and recorded it in one take at my apartment while VDRK slept on the couch. I only fit in 14 before he woke up and pulled the plug and we ate Thai food. Two of the songs are on a bootleg EP I did with a Olin from Chicago, which you can download for free.
